Recalling A Timbre

Load a preprogrammed sound to keyboard
Timbre Bank 1 - 8
Press 1 Timbre Bank button
Loads selected timbre bank into memory
Timbre Entry 1- 8
Press 1 Timbre Entry button
Loads selected timbre onto keyboard
Example: Press buttons - Timbre bank 1, then Entry 8
The sound in Bank 1, Entry 8 is playable on the keyboard

Recalling Two Timbres

Splitting the keyboard
 
SKT
Press SKT once, then press a Timbre ENTRY button
Establishes split keyboard, with selected timbre on upper section
Press SKT twice, then press a Timbre ENTRY button
Establishes split keyboard, with selected timbre on lower section
Press SKT once or twice, then press a Keyboard note (e.g., C3), then press a Timbre ENTRY button
Establishes split keyboard, with new split point at key pressed
Press SKT once, then keyboard note, then press STOP button
Establishes new split point, with same timbres

Modifying Partial Timbres

 

Partial Timbre 1 - 4
Press 1 or more buttons

If the button(s) become lit or blinks selected partial timbres(s) can be programmed

If the partial timbre button(s) blinks, these will be soloed on the keyboard

Harmonic Group Select
1-12 and 13-24

Press 1 button
Assigns appropriate harmonic control function to 12 PITCH AND HARMONIC CONTROL buttons

Pitch and Harmonic Control

Press 1 or more buttons, turn knob

Changes relative strength of selected harmonic coefficients.
Range .0 to 100

Volume Envelope

VIBRATO

WAVE
Press button, turn knob or repeatedly press button
Changes vibrato wave shape.
Range: Symbolic numbers for wave shapes.
1-5, vibrato on carrier,
6-10, vibrato on carrier and modulator
RATE
Press button, turn knob
Changes vibrato rate.
Range: .00 to 50 Hz
DEPTH
Press button, turn knob
Changes vibrato depth.
Range: .00 to 24 semitones
ATTACK
Press button, turn knob
Changes vibrato attack time.
Range: 0 to 9999 msec.

PORTAMENTO

ON/OFF
Press button (lit = on)
Turn portamento on and off
RATE
Press button, turn knob
Changes portamento rate.
Range: .000 to 1.000
LOG/LIN
Press button (lit = log)
Use Logarithmic or linear glide
FM RATIO
Press button, turn knob
Changes modulator to carrier frequency ratio.
Range: 0.000 to 16. Or for constant modulator: -.1 to -999 Hz
DECAY ADJUST
Press button, turn knob
Changes final decay to lower notes only.
Range: .000 to 1.000

MODIFYING COMPLETE TIMBRE

REPEAT
Press REPEAT (lit = on)
Turns repeat on and off
ARPEGGIATE
Press ARPEGGIATE (lit = on)
Turns arpeggiate on and off
RATE
Press RATE, turn knob
Changes repeat and arpeggiate rate.
Range: .00 to 100 Hz
CHORUS

Press CHORUS, turn knob

 

Establishes and tunes chorus effect
Range:.000 to 10.00
(a setting of 1 cancels chorus effect)
PARTIAL TIMBRE SELECT 1-4
Make all 4 buttons blink, turn knob
Changes keyboard polyphony.
Range:1 to 128
BOUNCE
Press BOUNCE, then a partial timbre, then a destination partial timbre
Duplicates all settings from 1 partial timbre to another

MEMORY RECORDER

START

Press once

Press twice

Starts playback at first beat

Starts playback at first event

STOP
Press once
Stops recording or playback
RECORD
Press once
Starts recording on blinking track. If none soloed (blinking) the first empty track will be selected.
PUNCH IN

Press once

Press again

Starts erasing and recording on soloed track

Stops recording and continues playing

CONTINUE
Press once
Continues playback from current point in sequence
REW. (REWIND)
Press once
Plays backward at high speed
F.F. (FAST FORWARD)
Press once
Plays forward at high speed
ERASE
Press twice
Erases sequence in memory, if tracks are soloed only these tracks are erased, if not all are erased.
LOOP

Press once at point during playback

Returns to first note and plays to loop point until STOP is pressed. (Sequence loop)

Hold down Track button and press LOOP
Creates an independent loop on held track
(track loop)
TRANSPOSE

Press TRANSPOSE then keyboard note with no tracks soloed

Press TRANSPOSE again to confirm

Transposes sequence based on route of C3
TRANSPOSE

Press TRANSPOSE then keyboard note with track soloed

Press TRANSPOSE again to confirm

Transposes soloed sequence track only
SPEED
Press SPEED, turn knob
Changes sequence speed.
Range .00 to 10 times speed
BOUNCE
Press BOUNCE, then a source TRACK, then a destination TRACK
Moves source track to new destination, deletes source track
BOUNCE
Press BOUNCE, then a source TRACK twice, then a destination TRACK
Copies source track to new destination, leaves source track intact
SMT

Press SMT then TRACK then SKT

Replaces track timbre with keyboard timbre

SMT

Press SMT then TRACK then other TRACK

Replaces track timbre with selected track timbre

SMT

Press SMT then TIMBRE ENTRY

Replaces track timbre with selected Timbre Entry

SKT
Press SKT then a TRACK
Brings selected track timbre to keyboard
CLICK RATE
Press CLICK (lit = on)
Turns click track on and off.
EXT. SYNC
Press Sync (lit = on)
Turns on and off external sync.

KEYBOARD TUNING

TUNING BASE
Press button, turn knob or repeatedly press button
Changes overall pitch in .1 Hz steps or in octave jumps.
Range: 00.0 to 1760 Hz (default 440 Hz)
OCTAVE RATIO
Press button, turn knob
Changes octave ratio.
Range .0000 to 4 (default 1)
SCALE ADJUST
Press button
Assigns pitch control function to 12 PITCH and HARMONIC CONTROL buttons
PITCH AND HARMONIC CONTROL
Press one button, turn knob
Changes pitch of selected key
PITCH AND HARMONIC CONTROL

Press button again

Restores tempered tuning for that pitch
SCALE RESET
Press button twice
Restores tempered tuning for all pitches

KEYBOARD PITCH BEND

SCALE RESET
Hold down, turn knob
Changes pitch bend sensitivity.
Range: .01 to 24 semitones
SCALE RESET
Release button (lit), turn knob
Activates knob pitch bend mode
SCALE RESET
Repeatedly press button
Increments pitch bend sensitivity by semitones.
