SFX: distant thunder

RCK /

We had better look for some shelter, there is a big storm brewing, my Lady.

UNA /

There is a shady grove over there, head for that.

SFX: Rain starts. Horse foots. change to rain falling on overhead canopy.

UNA /

Just in time.

RCK /

The trees are so thick here that no rain seems to penetrate them.

There are well trodden paths in every direction, this seems a truly pleasant place and a safe shelter against the tempest.

Still, we cannot just wait here, we'll follow that path there.

UNA /

Be careful, Sir.  Lest the path leads us awry.

SFX: Horse foots. Rain stops. birds chatter. summer woodland atmos.

RCK /

We have travelled some distance. I am not sure which path will lead us out of these woods again.  There are so many paths in all directions.

UNA /

Perhaps, Sir, we should keep traveling straight forward, and see where this path ends, be it in or out of the wood.

RCK /

Then let us take the broadest path, since it is the most trodden.

RCK/

This seems the thickest part of the wood, I can see a hollow cave ahead.

SFX : Knight dismounts.

RCK /

Hold my spear for me, Prudence.  I will investigate.

PRUDENCE /

Yes, Sire.

UNA /

Take heed, Sir.  Lest you provoke some hidden danger from within.  This is a wild and unknown place and peril is often hidden from sight.  Hold back until you are sure there is no danger concealed there.

RCK /

My Lady, it is a shame to go backwards for fear of hidden danger.  Courage and virtue give light to lead the way through any darkness.
